Coming from a small town of Northeastern Bulgaria called Dobrich, I would see Spain as a land of opportunities. I graduated in the local High School of Economics with specialty in Retail. As soon as I finished, I came to live in Madrid and study in IED. Part of the reason why I came here was to get to know my dad who moved to Madrid when I was four years old. It wasn’t easy to make such a change and from a town with population of sixty thousand people to a city with three million people. Because of the language barrier I took a One Year Course of Total Design in IED - Madrid and transferred to Fashion the next year. My specialty is Creative direction and I couldn’t be happier with the choice I made.
For my final project I chose to work with Leyli Ahmadova and create a magazine. Since we have worked on different assignments together before, we thought it would be a good idea to work one more time together. Working in a team makes the project much more interesting and distinctive, and it’s much more fun. Combining our forces we created g.o.o.d. magazine, a magazine that includes a comic book, interviews, articles and editorials about fashion, art and music. Having all those things we decided to add something more – a special collaboration with a designer who creates a garment or object based on the concept of the current issue.
Working in a magazine or a fashion brand and being part of the communication department is a dream and a goal of mine. Discovering new places and new cultures is part of the process and I’m open for that. I’m a person who loves adventures and staying in the same city for too long may be difficult for me.
